"Life is hard but God is Good!!!" Just heard that song last night. All the words were my exact feelings on everything. Shall have to find it.http://youtu.be/FXsDfZUgyd4 Here it is, go take a listen.
So what has been going on with Good News Ministries you might ask? MMMMMMM good question. We are only at one truck stop now. Both our cars are disabled in many ways, too many things wrong with them to take them out of town. Plus gas is a problem and I guess the ecconomy has disabled alot of donors also. So Good News sits waiting for God's leading, of which we do not know where he is leading. Life is Hard but God is Good!
JP goes out on Saturdays to the church instead of truck stops and does cleaning and landscaping. Then the pastor (who is a truck driver himself) takes JP out for a hamberger and puts gas in the car for him to get to church. don't know who is getting blessed, JP or Ron.
We still put out tracts and CD's but not as many as we used to. We were able to buy a case of Bibles with a donation, but the bibles are almost gone. That's a good thing.....right?
Mark, Shane and Joshua, all truck drivers still call JP every now and then to gab. Mark just got married and hauls sod in TX. Joshua moved from TX to KY, his wife is doing much better. Shane lives in ME and travels cross country every month. I see Shane on Facebook so I can keep up with him. I guess we are still doing truck ministry, but not in the same ways we used to. Good News Ministries has taken wings and is flying in a different direction.
Onward and upward......Life is hard, but God is Good!!!
Here, there or in the air!

"You Must Be Born Again"
Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

March Newsletter
Hello Everyone,
Good News Ministries, Inc was founded 16 years ago. We've gone to lots of truck stops, gave out lots of tracts, tapes, cd's and bibles (much to numerous to count). We've seen alot of truckers saved and many not so saved. We've traveled alot of miles and seen alot of faces but the best part is knowing we were doing it for the Lord Jesus, serving Him the best we could with what we had to work with.
That hasen't changed, although the finances are just not there anymore, not since November has there been a donation. We are still working with what we have, although MAN says it is over, God has not given up on us or the truck driver. God still wants that all be saved and that includes the truck driver and his family. Romans 11:29 "For the gifts and calling of God are without repentence" (God will not change his mind about the calling)
We have not given up, nor have we stopped doing truck ministry. GNM has just taken another turn into unfamiliar territory, so we keep on keeping on, doing what we have been doing. Putting our hands to the plow and not turning back, looking forward, never straying to the right or to the left, but keeping our eyes fully on Jesus Christ and the finish line.
There are alot of truck ministries out on the road today, and many of the truckers have picked up the cd's from us or from others and duplicated them and are passing them out themselves. What better ministry is that, then to have a trucker ministering to another trucker??? Like a cowboy to cowboy or football player to a football player or poor person to a poor person or actor to actor....whatever the case. People listen to those who are like minded and understand where that person is coming from.
So the truck ministry still continues whether you desire it to continue or not.......it will continue because God is in it and God disires that ALL BE SAVED!!!!!
So ends my little "soapbox preach".........hope you all have a great day and remember when you see a truck driver, they have a soul too, and that soul is going to spend eternity someplace, whether it be heaven or hell. So have compassion for them........Jesus does.

♥Happy Valentine's Day♥
Today is Valentine's Day♥ In the 30's and sunny. We celebrated our Valentine's yesterday with a heart shaped steak on the grill, potatoes, broc/mushrooms and roasted onions and red peppers. Oh Yum!!!
Nothing new on the home front............we are still waiting on God for our next step in Good News Ministries. There has not been a donation to this ministry since November. That being said, we just sit and wait till something comes in. There are still the bills that need to be paid, cell phone and PO Box. We got some tracts and spanish bibles for free, so that helps. Still have some CD's to pass out, but since we cannot get down to Oshkosh as much (car won't make it and gas too expensive) our CD stock is still okay. So anything that is needed for this ministry comes out of our pocket.......or General Funds.
We still pray for the truckers on the road, for their jobs can be very trying as is anyone's job at times. Our pastor drives truck every day down to Waterloo and with this winter weather, it sure has not been a picnic. God bless the trucker for all their hard work, a thankless job I am sure.
We shall close this blog for today with hopes of something transpiring in the next few months.
Blessings, JP and Louise
