"You Must Be Born Again"

Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

Nothing New Under The Sun

Nothing new happening. We still do the truck stop in Forest Junction. But we have not been able to go to the OshKosh truck stop in over a year. We were offered a Van to use to drive down there and stock the shelf with cd's, tracts and a few Bibles. But there has not been any donations coming in for money to buy gas, to get down there. Can't very well use someone's van and not put gas in it when we are finished.........soooooo needless to say, we have not gone down to OshKosh. We are also down to one car, the other car died February 1st.

We no longer have a PO box. That went up to $38, again no donations to keep up. We have wondered if God was shutting down this ministry, but maybe it is just taking a different direction. Which direction, we are not sure of.

As for our cell phone, we may be shutting that down also, as it is costing too much for up-keep also. We ran into a problem with Sprint and are not happy with their business. We paid a bill with a GNM check and they said it was not paid..........we cannot afford to pay that bill again through GNM. So we will have to take care of it personally. As soon as this bill is paid off, we are cancelling Sprint. So there again....is that another sign that GNM is taking a different direction???? We will be getting another cell phone.........a Track phone where you buy your own minutes at your own pace, see how that works for us.

The truckers that call us usually use our land-line, so there should not be a problem with communication. Well so much for our tail of woes........for what ever reason, we still know that God is in controll even though it does not look like it.

You all take care and keep looking up for your redemption draweth nigh.

Cheers, Louise

It Has Been Awhile

Happy St. Patrick's Day to all you Irish lads and lasses!!! Hope you are enjoying the beautiful weather God has blessed us all with today. Could not be any better, sunny and in the 70's!!!

Ministry wise there has not been much going on. It's been a long winter and not so snowy as the last couple of years, but tolerable. We have not gone down to the Plainview truck stop for a couple of years now as our cars are one by one dying on us. The car we drive now just stays in the Appleton area as it needs $1000 worth of work. So our hands have been tied, literally.

Our only truck stop that we tend to is the one in Forest Junction. Still putting out bibles, tracts and CD's. JP still talks to a few truckers on a weekly basis, but not as much. Our Pastor is a truck driver, so JP talks to him every other day or so. So Good News Ministries is still alive and well, but very so quietly doing the work behind the scenes.

You all have a great day in the Lord and keep looking up for your redemption draweth nigh!

Greetings in 2012

Choice Christian greetings to you all in this New Year 2012. Hope things are well with you and your families.

Good News Ministries is still ministering in the small and obsolite places. Guess that is good. One donation came in towards the end of 2011. $200. We were able to buy a case of KJV Bibles, some tracts and pay the cell phone bill and tithe. Here are a few pictures of the tracts.

When JP first started passing out tracts, calendars were the main tool. Every person he handed a calendar to were open to receiving them. He had no problem dispersing them, everyone needed a calendar...........hard to know how many lives were touched by that simple calendar.

The above picture shows the calendar and a Santa Claus tract, ready for use next Christmas to pass out.
The above tract says, Jesus said, "I am the bread of life. Whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?" "How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation! For we must all appear before the judgement seat of Christ." John 6:35, 11:26 Heb.2:3, 2 Cor. 5:10. Some pretty powerful scriptures that will cause a person to think, where will they spend eternity?

A few truck drivers still call every now and then to talk to JP. A local truck driver calls every other day about. Which is one reason why we still hold on to our "dinosoar cell phone." So you see, Good News Ministries is still plodding along, never swaying to the right or the left like an old work horse. Getting the job done and plowing up the fields and planting seeds. God will water the ground and seeds when the rain is needed. The plants will grow, we may never see the growth, but God sees it all and that is all that counts. Better HE sees the growth and not us.....our helmets may not fit our heads.....lol!

Time to close this blog, I will try to do at least one or two blogs a month, Lord willing. You have a great day and keep looking up for your redemption drawth nigh.
