Hi Folks.........
Well, as you can see, there has not been a lot of activity in these parts lately. Good News Ministries is till alive and well, but not working as hard as it used to. Guess God put us on the shelf for awhile for a little rest.
We did get a case of bibles a month or so ago from a donor and those (donations) are few and far inbetween also. We can only work with what we have and sometimes that ain't much!!!
Bibles and tracts have gone out here and there. A few CD's are passed out also. The pastor, who is a truck driver does a lot of witnessing on the road and uses the "Buddy Ferris" CD on his travels. We still have a spool of "already made" CD's by Buddy, "I Set Before You...Life". So the Pastor will be provided with enough for a couple of months at least. (I just have to find some time to write the title and author on the CD and stuff them in their envelopes, stamping them with "FREE" and the GNM address).
We have been down to one car for a year now, so traveling down to Osh Kosh has been out of the question for us. Gas prices are rising and with no donations it is hard to get down there. The only truck stop we hit is the one in Forest Junction. That one gets stocked with CD's, tracts and a Bible once a week after church. During the week, if stock is low, the Pastor calls us to let us know. JP usually goes to the church on Saturday's to clean and will stock the shelves then. He also practices his accordion and piano and plays during prayer and greeting during church.
So, there you have it, Good News Ministires is still alive and well, but just doing things differently. Still acting and serving the Lord with what tools we have. They may not be sharp, but they work. Still plowing the fields and sowing seeds and believing God will water the seeds. The sun will shine and the seeds will grow in God's timing and not our own.
You all have a great day and keep looking up for your redemption draws nigh.
JP and Louise
